It has long been believed that the old age vision function decreased and the process is difficult to avoid. The naturopath recommend a good diet and exercise the muscles of the eye to improve vision function.
William H Bates was an ophthalmologist and professor at New York Medical School Postgraduated who in 1919 published the book: Better Eyesight Without Glasses which contain exercises to help improve vision function. He's principled glasses are not treating the cause of the decline in vision function. In the book of alternative methods of exercise are often referred to Bates. The following exercises you can do to improve your vision function:
1. PALMING
Close your eyes and cover with both hands. Be sure not to touch the eye. Then think of something yangmenyenangkan or listen to music. Do not empty your mind because it can cause your eyes do not relax Do it 2-3 times a day each for 10 minutes.
2. SPLASHING
Wash your eyes are closed with warm water 20 times and 20 times with cold water. Repeat this afternoon but do first with cold water and then warm.
3. NEAR AND FAR focusing
Hold the pencil in front of your eyes approximately 15 cm from the nose. And another pencil parallel but in a more distant position, as far as your hands in a straight position. Focus your vision your eye on that one kediplah pencil and then focus on the other pencil. Note that you only focus on one pencil in turn but you do not see double.
4. Swinging
Standing in front of a window with your legs slightly apart and then train your eye to look to the right and left on an object outside the window. Kediplah when moving motion of each side. Note as if the window moves in the opposite direction of your self.
5. Shifting
When you see an object. Focus your attention on that object. Then look at the lower and upper limits of the object. Then the left and right boundaries of the object. Then you zoom out the object boundaries and look at the upper limit of the object down, right left. The lower limit of the object, the more the more trained your eye muscles.
Exercises you can do on a regular basis 2-3 times a day.
